What if . . .

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:  and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

(Psalms 90:17, KJV)

What if our lives were so infused, even aflame, with the beauty of the Lord our God that every thought and action was taken up as if by Jesus?

What if our faith in God was such that we moved from a life in which we look behind to see His footsteps as he guided and even carried us to a life in which we see His footsteps imprinted ahead of us—and we follow in them?

What if we had so surrendered to Jesus that the whispers of the Holy Spirit were as thunder in our ears?

What if time with Jesus in our closet was more important than time connected to the pleasures of the world?

What if each of us had such plentiful memories of our seeking God that we could share countless remembrances of God’s work in our lives?

What if. . .

What untold blessings and promise that question holds!

Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech . . .

(II Corinthians 3:12, KJV)
